Description Specialization: Cardiothoracic Surgery Job Summary: Methodist Healthcare System, the largest healthcare provider in South Texas, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a highly respected and growing cardiothoracic program in San Antonio, Texas. Position Highlights * Join an established and highly regarded cardiothoracic surgery practice with significant regional market presence * Perform a broad spectrum of adult cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures, including: * Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) * Valve repair and replacement * Aortic surgery * Thoracic oncology procedures * Opportunity to collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, pulmonologists, intensivists, advanced practice providers, and surgical specialists * Participate in program development, quality initiatives, clinical research, and educational activities * Opportunity to mentor residents and fellows while contributing to the continued growth of the service line * Primarily practice at one Methodist Healthcare hospital location * Call expectations: * 1:5 weekend call rotation * 1:7 weekday call rotation Qualifications * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery * Eligible for unrestricted Texas medical licensure * Experience in routine and complex coronary surgery, valve repair/replacement, and structural heart procedures preferred * Experience with thoracic surgery, minimally invasive lung surgery, and minimally invasive cardiac surgery is welcomed but not required * Strong commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, innovation, and patient-centered care * New fellowship graduates are encouraged to apply and will be fully considered * Experienced candidates seeking leadership, program development, or mentorship opportunities are also encouraged to apply Incentive and Benefits Package * Employed position with Methodist Healthcare System * Competitive compensation package with productivity incentives * Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits * Relocation assistance available * Paid malpractice coverage * CME allowance and paid time off * Opportunity to practice within a rapidly growing cardiovascular service line Why Methodist Heart?
