Clinical Role

Join an established Surgical Oncology GI team in Charlotte, North Carolina, providing inpatient and outpatient care support for three surgeons. This locums opportunity is available due to maternity/paternity leave coverage and offers a predictable schedule with no call responsibilities in a Level I Trauma Center.

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Practice Setting:

• Inpatient and outpatient

Patient Volume:

• Cover inpatient floor census of approximately 10-15 patients
• Additional outpatient clinic responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Management of pre-operative and post-operative Surgical Oncology GI patients
• Daily inpatient rounding
• Outpatient clinic evaluations and follow-up visits
• Patient admissions
• Coordination of care with three Surgical Oncology GI surgeons
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary oncology teams

Hospital Information:

• Level I Trauma Center
• Stroke-certified facility

• Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Required
• Active North Carolina License - Required
• BLS Certification - Required
• Experience with surgical patients preferred
• Experience with oncology and/or GI surgery patients preferred
