Critical Care Rn Medical Icu

Shift: Day (6:00 AM 6:30 PM) Weekend requirement: Every other weekend/holidays

Assignment length: Approx. 18 weeks

Active Indiana (IN) or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS; NIHSS preferred Years of experience: 12 years in specialty (2+ years preferred) Travel experience required Recent supervisor reference required Previous charge experience preferred

Provide comprehensive care for critically ill adult and geriatric patients in a medical intensive care unit. Manage ventilator support and care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation. Administer titrated vasoactive/cardiac drips, IV sedation, and continuous paralytics. Perform arterial and central line care, including ABG interpretation and dysrhythmia management. Assist with bedside procedures such as chest tube placements, bronchoscopy, paracentesis, and thoracentesis. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
