Experience: Six (6) months of related experience
License: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Certifications: BLS

Must-Have Skills:
2+ years of experience

Description:
Responsible for diagnostic cardiac or vascular ultrasound that provides measurements and accurate images of cardiac structures for accurate diagnosis.
Provides immediate feedback with preliminary reports of critical results to ensure timely treatment intervention.
Assists the physician with studies and aids in complex procedures to decrease potential procedural risks.
Performs adult and/or pediatric cardiac ultrasound procedures, including TEE and stress echo.
Operates equipment necessary to perform all required procedures to obtain optimal diagnostic recordings.
Exercises judgment in notifying of abnormal results to the reading physician.
Maintains proper documentation of data according to departmental policy.
Collaborates in the maintenance of departmental efficiency and anticipates needs in equipment and supplies.
Documents consistently and accurately in patient charts.
Supports unit goals through quality assurance and educational activities.
Maintains current competency in specialty practices and demonstrates initiative in professional development.
Complies with mandatory education standards and participates in departmental quality assurance processes.
Maintains clean environments and practices infection control.
Promotes safety for patients, visitors, and personnel while maintaining confidentiality.
Coordinates activities and works with healthcare professionals and staff effectively.
Utilizes critical thinking skills and communicates effectively with team members.
Serves in on-call rotation after regular business hours.
