RN - Labor and Delivery


Job Details:


• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience required; 4 years of experience most preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Care for patients of all gestational ages including antepartum, mother-baby, and labor and delivery patients; no gynecological surgeries
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labor, 1:2 for laboring patients, and 1:3-4 for couplets
• Level 3 OB experience required; labor experience most preferred
• Ability to circulate C-sections preferred
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM
• Charting and equipment includes EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis, and FHM monitors at nurse station and bedside
• Telemetry experience required
• Nurses are responsible for drawing labs
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travelers float first to GYN/mother-baby overflow
• Up to 7 days of time off may be approved
• Schedule provided at least 2 weeks before each 6-week cycle begins
• Scrub color: procedural
• Free parking available


Facility:


This medical center is a Level II Trauma Center and Level III Maternity and NICU facility with 167 beds, offering comprehensive care across a wide range of specialties. The Labor and Delivery unit averages approximately 120 births per month and operates with 23 beds, supported by a charge nurse, bedside technicians, an OB available 24/7, in-house anesthesia, and a daytime lactation RN. The facility maintains high standards of care with robust support systems in place for both staff and patients.
