Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong neuro/spine surgical experience for a 13-week assignment at a Level I/II trauma teaching hospital.

Job Details

• Operating Room unit within a Level I and Level II trauma teaching hospital,
• Day shift, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM,
• 1:1 patient ratio,
• Cerner charting preferred but not required for consideration,
• Mandatory floating required across appropriate units,
• Required to take call,
• Required to work assigned weekends,
• Rotating shifts, holiday, and inclement weather coverage required,

Job Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration,
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,
• Teaching hospital experience required,
• Level I and Level II trauma experience required,
• Strong neuro/spine surgical experience required,
• Experience with vascular, neurology, orthopedic, robotic, ENT, and surgical oncology procedures,
• Scrub role,

Additional Information

• Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures including vascular, neurological, orthopedic, robotic, and ENT surgeries,
• Physically demanding role requiring ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs,
• Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses in a 24/7 healthcare facility,
• Required to work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract,
• Maximum RTO of 10 days, with none allowed during the first week due to orientation,
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible to apply,
• Travelers residing 51-74 miles away may be offered a local rate
