Banquet Server

In this position, you will be responsible for creating "Real Life Magic" for our guests by providing the highest level of service to internal and external guests on all catered events. We require you have at least one year serving experience in a fast-paced and formal restaurant setting, a reputable catering provider or a high-volume conference center/convention hotel. Your training will be built on the skillset you already have. The ideal applicant for this highly sought-after job is naturally going above and beyond under heavy workload, enjoys adapting to constantly changing customer requests and takes pride in accomplishing challenging tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Delivers impeccable service to internal and external guests while complying with all Nemacolin brand standards
• Studies and understands Banquet Event Orders (BEO) assigned to them, identifies tasks related to BEOs
• Executes tasks assigned to them in an efficient, safe and cost effective manner
• Studies and memorizes the food and beverage selections on the BEO paying particular attention to dietary restrictions
• Keeps the work area immaculate - both Front and Heart of House
• Utilizes their excellent communication skills with both internal and external guests, using approved and appropriate language.
• Takes part in training new associates and redirecting fellow associates when necessary, suggests improvements and ideas to management and reports any violations of Nemacolin standards
• Takes utmost care of equipment, venues and other Nemacolin assets, reports damages or malfunctions immediately to Banquet leadership
• Other job duties as assigned by the Banquet Captain or Banquet Management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Friendly and out-going personality
• Ability to walk up to 8 hours at a time and to bend
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Must be able to speak the English language fluently
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
• Must be able to handle high-pressure situations
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts - including holidays, weekends, evenings, etc.
• Must possess strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate basic liquor, beer and wine knowledge
• Must be and remain RAMP certified.
• Must have thorough knowledge of table setting and food and beverage service
• Must be able to cross-train in Banquet Bartending or other hotel outlet's Front of House roles
• Must possess a drivers license
