Data Center Structured Cabling Technician

Insight Global is seeking Data Center Deployment Technicians to support a large-scale data center infrastructure project in Lubbock, TX . Techs will work alongside Tiger Team Leads to assist with data center deployments including rack-and-stack, cabling, equipment installation, staging, receiving, inventory management, and physical build activities within active data center environments. Location: Lubbock, TX Lead Tech: $35.00-$40.00/hr Expect 10+ hours of OT each week, paid at 1.5x your standard rate . If you're traveling from outside a 50-mile radius, the client will provide travel, housing/lodging, and meal reimbursements . Schedule Shift: Day Shift Hours: Typically, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Expected Weekly Hours: 50-60+ hours Requirements 6+ months of experience working in a data center environment 2+ years of experience in rack-and-stack, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, hardware installations, or data center deployments. Ability to safely lift, move, and install data center equipment while following all site safety protocols. Must be comfortable travelling for 1 to 3 weeks at a time, depending on deployment needs and technician availability. Must be able to pass a background check (no felony or violent misdemeanor convictions within the past 7 years). Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, including THC. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the work site. Key Responsibilities Support the installation and deployment of servers, network equipment, and infrastructure within active data center environments. Perform rack-and-stack activities, equipment staging, hardware installation, and structured cabling. Receive, organize, and prepare equipment for deployment while maintaining clean and efficient staging areas. Install equipment according to rack elevations, deployment standards, and quality requirements. Support QA/QC inspections, identify installation issues, and elevate concerns to keep projects on schedule. Collaborate with deployment leads and project teams to deliver high-quality data center buildouts. Participate in daily team huddles, site walkthroughs, and deployment activities to support project milestones.
