Physical Therapy Assistant

Conduct patient care as directed by Physical Therapist and participate in efficient, cost-effective planning and operation of the Physical Therapy Department.

Responsibilities:

• Delivers treatment based on initial assessment by a physical therapist.
• Provides feedback to the supervising physical therapist based on patient's progress.
• Interacts with other disciplines when necessary to meet patient's needs.
• Participates in the discharge process with patient, family and other disciplines as necessary.
• Provides education to promote knowledge and skills needed to meet patient's needs.
• Informs patients and family of charges related to the patient's program.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or equivalent experience.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Two (2) years experience in Physical Therapy Assisting preferred, but new graduates are accepted. BLS provider or obtain within 3 months of hire.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Physical Therapist Assistant
