We are diligent in obtaining complete and accurate insurance and demographic information in a timely manner, this enables us to provide high quality, compassionate health care service to all who need them, regardless of their ability to pay. Positions may be available in the following areas: Emergency Room, Operating Room, Outpatient, Infusion, Maternal Child, and Transplant Services.Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pmLocation: Mercy Gilbert Medical Center (MGMC), located at 3555 S Val Vista Dr, Gilbert, AZ 85297We offer shift differentials for Saturday and Sunday at 15%. We have an onsite cafeteria and gift shop with employee discounts as well as an onsite Starbucks and free parking. Performance based bonuses are also available.Primary Responsibilities:Communicates directly with patients and/or families either in person or on the phone to complete the registration process by collecting patient demographics, health information, and verifying insurance eligibility/benefitsResponds to patient and caregivers' inquiries related to routine and sensitive topics always in a compassionate and respectful mannerUtilizes computer systems to enter, access or verify patient data in real-time ensuring accuracy and completeness of informationPositions for this function will be responsible for checking in and obtaining all demographics and insurance information for patientsAnswer billing questionsDeliver and create patient estimates based off insurance benefits and collect co-pays/deductiblesYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma/GEDBasic level of proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applicationsBasic level of proficiency in typing skillsAbility to be on feet for 95% of the shiftAbility to push a WOW (workstation on wheels)Ability to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm**PLEASE NOTE** The sign-on bonus is only available to external candidates.
