Lead a Community Pharmacy Where Relationships Matter

Baron II Drugs & Surgical, a locally owned and independent pharmacy in Moonachie, is looking for an experienced, personable Pharmacist in Charge to lead our team. We pride ourselves on a low-stress, community-focused atmosphere that manages a predictable volume of approximately 65 prescriptions per day. This role offers a competitive rate of $62–$65/hr for a steady 36-hour weekly schedule, with a formal compensation review scheduled after your first 6 months.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Pharmacist license in good standing
• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
• Minimum of 3 years of pharmacist experience, specifically within a community or retail setting
• Eligibility for designation as a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) under New Jersey regulations (cannot serve as a PIC elsewhere simultaneously)
• Previous leadership or PIC experience is preferred
• Immunization certification is preferred
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and best practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organization, attention-to-detail, and customer service abilities
• Ability to speak Spanish is considered a plus
• Friendly, dependable, and committed to outstanding patient care within a team-oriented environment

Schedule

• Four 9-hour weekday shifts
• Consistent weekly schedule

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge and oversee daily pharmacy operations.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Verify prescriptions and accurately dispense medications.
• Maintain required prescription, inventory, controlled-substance, security, storage, and policy records.
• Support insurance claims, prior authorizations, Med Sync, compliance packaging, immunizations, MTM, and related services.
• Provide professional medication counseling and personalized patient care.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain an efficient, welcoming environment.
• Build lasting relationships by delivering exceptional customer service.
