Phlebotomist - SF1

Job Summary Full‑time position 40 hours per week with variable start times; rotating weekends and some holidays. The role involves collecting blood specimens from patients in accordance with established procedures while maintaining a professional, customer‑sensitive atmosphere. Essential Functions Patient safety and biohazard control: use appropriate hand hygiene, two patient identifiers, protective equipment, and comply with hospital precautions. Job Duties Demonstrate workflow and procedures to management, co‑workers, new employees, inspectors, and visitors. Receive direction from the management team. Attend and participate in continuing education as appropriate. Verify correct specimen and labeling requirements for test orders. Register and label tubes accurately. Centrifuge and aliquot specimens according to department policy. Sort, store, and deliver laboratory specimens by department and specimen requirements. Work with medical technologists and client services to resolve specimen problems. Answer telephones and provide assistance as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Phlebotomy Technician (PT) certification (PBT(ASCP)) preferred. 3–5 years experience in a hospital laboratory preferred; 0–1 year internship or equivalent required. Must demonstrate annual CAP competencies and adhere to I C.A.R.E. Standards. Schedule and Pay Full‑time 40 hours per week, day shift (United States of America). Pay range: $18.99–$28.21 per hour.
