MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN in Plano

Job Description Location: Wellington at Willow Bend; Plano, TX Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday; Weekend availability required Hourly Rate: $24.50 - $25.50, based on experience; $150/week on-call bonus Benefits: Health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, short- and long-term life insurance, paid parental leave, rent discounts, and more. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 1–3 years of residential property maintenance or related field Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read blueprints and manuals Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; frequent walking, standing, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching Basic computer skills for logging and tracking work orders HVAC certification and/or experience CPO license – or willing to obtain CAMT designation The Wellington at Willow Bend is looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure our community continues to be a place we are proud to call home. In this role, you will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the property is beautiful, well-maintained, and operating smoothly. What You’ll Do: Perform general appliance, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs Complete apartment turns and make‑readies Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Promptly respond to service requests using our paperless system Maintain maintenance records and manage inventory Perform general carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs Ensure compliance with safety standards and collaborate with vendors as needed Handle pool and grounds care; assist with snow removal when necessary Pre-Employment Requirements: final candidates will be required to pass a background check and provide professional references.
