Position snapshot

As a Home Comfort Systems Service Mechanic, you’ll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems (with occasional light commercial work). You’ll deliver code-compliant, safety-first service, perform scheduled and emergency repairs, document your work thoroughly, and keep customers informed with clear, professional communication.

Key responsibilities

• Service, clean, calibrate, and repair HVAC systems and components: air handlers, duct systems, supply/return vents, and condensate management.
• Diagnose and correct performance issues in residential environments to ensure efficient, dependable operation.
• Recommend expert solutions aligned with customer needs and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications

• 2–5+ years in HVAC service; residential specialization preferred.
• EPA certification (required).
• Valid driver’s license and a clean MVR.
• Demonstrated proficiency in complex diagnostics and problem-solving.
• Strong quality standards and a positive, professional demeanor.
• Customer-centric communication at all organizational levels.
• Agile, collaborative teammate who thrives in changing environments.

Physical requirements

• Lift 50 lbs routinely; up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Climb ladders; access confined spaces (attics/crawlspaces) ; drive between locations; push/pull/carry; operate hand tools; perform precision tasks.
• Ability to drive.
• Work in indoor/outdoor conditions, including attics and crawlspaces.
• Stand, walk, sit; communicate in person and by phone.
• Use hands for handling/feeling controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently stoop, kneel, bend, crouch.
• Exposure to temperature extremes and weather (heat, cold, wind, rain, ice, snow).
