It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. St. Vincent's is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network, and is the system's second-largest hospital.

Duties: The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting venous and capillary blood specimens from patients in a safe and accurate manner according to established lab policies and practices. Demonstrates H3W behaviors with a focus on exceptional patient experience and quality service and outcomes.

Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent. Knowledge of venipuncture techniques. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude. Good keyboarding skills with ability to learn various laboratory application and HHC computer systems. Continuous improvement mindset. Ability to handle different patient population including difficult patients. Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills. Ability to operate required lab equipment including pneumatic tube.

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours)

Shift Details: 9:00am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday, with floating duties as needed, every other weekend, and rotating holiday coverage.
