The Medical Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine is responsible for providing clinical, operational, and strategic leadership for all high-risk obstetric services within our organization. This position guarantees the provision of evidence-based, patient-focused care, fosters program development, and spearheads quality, safety, and compliance initiatives throughout the Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) service line.

• Deliver direct high-risk obstetric and consultative care, including ultrasound interpretation, prenatal diagnosis, and management of MFM in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Act as the senior clinical authority in maternal-fetal medicine, providing expertise on complex patient cases and emerging clinical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with clinical practice guidelines from ACOG, SMFM, and other regulatory organizations.
• Work collaboratively with obstetricians, midwives, neonatologists, genetic counselors, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Develop and revise departmental policies, clinical pathways, and protocols.
• Guarantee timely access to MFM consultations, ultrasound services, and inpatient support.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing maternal and fetal outcomes, patient experience, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee adherence to hospital, state, and federal regulations, including documentation, coding, and billing accuracy.
• Track key performance indicators such as maternal morbidity rates, ultrasound quality metrics, and patient satisfaction levels.
• Chair or participate in OB safety committees, peer reviews, and multidisciplinary case discussions.

• MD/DO Degree
• Board Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) and Subspecialty Certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM)
• 5-10+ years of focused clinical practice in MFM, including advanced ultrasound and invasive procedures
