If you are passionate about healthcare, possess strong phlebotomy skills, and enjoy working independently, this role is an excellent fit for you.ResponsibilitiesPerform blood draws and specimen collection from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient.Prepare specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected samples and patient information.Ensure a safe and professional environment at all times.Communicate effectively with patients, providing explanations of procedures to foster trust and confidence.Travel between multiple patient service centers and locations as needed, including covering short-notice assignments.Follow all policies and safety guidelines, including dress code and patient confidentiality protocols.Required SkillsAbility to perform quality blood draws with a focus on safety and patient comfort.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, if applicable, with a clean driving record.Additional Skills & RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington.1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, required.Experience in a patient service center environment is preferred.Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed, with availability to float between multiple sites.Travel within the region is expected; mileage reimbursement available.Seize this opportunity to make a difference in patient lives while advancing your phlebotomy career.
