Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established safety and accuracy protocols.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to proper procedures and documentation standards.
• Explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and building trust to ease discomfort and ensure cooperation.
• Maintain accurate records of specimen collection, processing, and patient information in compliance with organizational policies.
• Uphold a safe, clean, and professional environment, ensuring confidentiality and infection control practices are followed.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors by focusing on process excellence and patient confidentiality during daily activities.
• Perform job duties independently with minimal supervision, ensuring timely and error-free work in a fast-paced setting.

Required Skills

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric populations.
• Strong customer service skills, especially in retail or service environments.
• Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality and safety protocols.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience is required; 1+ years preferred.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.
• Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
