Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected samples and patient information.
• Ensure a safe and professional environment at all times.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providing explanations of procedures to foster trust and confidence.
• Travel between multiple patient service centers and locations as needed, including covering short-notice assignments.
• Follow all policies and safety guidelines, including dress code and patient confidentiality protocols.

Required Skills

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, if applicable, with a clean driving record.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, required.
• Experience in a patient service center environment is preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed, with availability to float between multiple sites.
• Travel within the region is expected; mileage reimbursement available.
