This Level III trauma facility provides comprehensive neurosurgical services with established protocols for managing complex neurological procedures. The institution maintains advanced surgical equipment and support systems necessary for neurosurgical interventions across inpatient, clinic, and operating room settings.

This area offers diverse attractions including dune rides, museums focused on American innovation, and various historic sites alongside abundant nature and wildlife areas. Visitors can explore university campuses, major sports venues, casinos, and the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The neurosurgeon will provide comprehensive 24-hour call coverage for neurological surgery services across inpatient, clinic, and operating room settings. Primary responsibilities include managing day shift and 24-hour shift coverage with a 1:3 call ratio, responding to emergency consultations, and performing neurosurgical procedures. The clinician must maintain prescriptive authority and provide continuous availability for trauma activations and emergency surgical interventions while coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams.
