Logistics Specialist II

Job Profile Summary:

Provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders.
• Contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately.
• Communicates changes to routing and timelines.
• Prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation.
• Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
• Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System. 

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of related experience
• Gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• 5+ years of related experience
• Confident, team-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-managed and highly motivated
• Displays integrity, reliability, empathy, and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

• Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
• Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
• The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
