This position works out of our facility in Jacksonville,FL . Come and grow with us! How you Will Make a Positive Impact: Fabricate and assemble metal parts to produce equipment according to customer and engineering specifications. Use MIG welding machines with flux-cored wire electrode to complete assigned welding work. Operate fabricationshopmachinery and equipment, including welding machines, cutting torches, grinders, overhead cranes, and forklifts. Read job specifications todeterminemachine adjustments and material requirements. Remove welding slag, burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpieces. Perform minor machine maintenance, including cleaning and changing consumable parts. Read and interpret blueprints for intricate parts to support precise fabrication and assembly according to design specifications. Fabricate and lay out work to meet design specifications and tolerances. Set up weld equipment and pass an all-position test using GMAW and FCAW-G processes. Follow all shop safety policies and practices. Perform related duties as assigned by supervision. The Value You Bring: Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED diploma, three to six months of welding experience, trade schooling, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to weld in all positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead, with a consistent weld bead size. Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, especially for intricate and complex parts. Ability to fabricate and lay out work to meet design specifications and tolerances. Ability to set up weld equipment and pass an all-position test using GMAW and FCAW-G processes. Experience using fabrication shop equipment, including welding machines, cutting torches, grinders, overhead cranes, and forklifts. Three to six months of work experience in heavy equipment manufacturing preferred. Commitment to safety and ability to follow all shop safety policies and practices.
