Low Voltage Prewire Technician - Residential AV / Smart Home

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Low Voltage Prewire Technician to join our growing team in Southern California.

This role focuses primarily on new construction and remodel prewire , including structured cabling and smart home infrastructure for high-end residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Pull and route low-voltage wiring including Cat6, RG6, speaker wire, security, and control wiring

• Read and follow floorplans, elevations, and wiring documentation

• Label and organize wiring at both ends

• Drill, fish, and route wire cleanly while protecting finished surfaces and framing

• Install backboxes, rings, conduit, and rough-in hardware

• Assist with trim-out, device installation, rack build, and final commissioning as needed

• Maintain clean, professional job sites and communicate clearly with team members

Requirements

• Experience in low-voltage, AV, alarm, security, telecom, or electrical prewire preferred

• Comfortable on ladders and working in attics/crawl spaces

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day

• Basic hand tools and reliable transportation required

• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is a major plus

Bonus Experience (Not Required)

• Home automation systems (Control4, Savant, Josh.ai)

• Networking / Wi-Fi systems

• Security cameras and surveillance

• Lutron lighting and shades

• Rack termination and troubleshooting
