Personal Trainer

Job Details Job Location: OLD BRIDGE, NJ 08857 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $30.00 - $30.00 Hourly Under the direct supervision of the Health and Wellness Director, the Personal Trainer promotes healthy and safe exercise programs for all clients in a professional manner. Responsibilities Must be on time and prepared for all Personal Training appointments, including adhering to the branch and department dress code. Must follow established protocols for accurate and timely scheduling and recording of personal training sessions. Notify the Regional Group Exercise Director and client as soon as possible, or with a minimum 24- hour notice, if you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment. Develop and implement an individualized exercise program based on client needs and proactively adjust according to client needs and wants. Maintain a retention plan that promotes the continuation of personal training services, including providing outstanding customer service, listening and responding to client needs, establishing goals, tracking progress, and encouraging clients when their current package is or has expired. Generate new clients by engaging members and prospective clients. Report any unsafe or suspicious activity or equipment directly to Directors/Managers on Duty and supervisor. Exercise sound judgment in relation to member safety and injuries. Follow all emergency procedures. Visually inspect work area and equipment for safety and risk, report to supervisor in writing any problems, and fill out accident/incident reports to the Regional Group Exercise Director. Perform enhanced cleaning in areas not normally assigned, as well as in normally assigned areas; wipe machines, screens, computers, phones, and wash hands frequently or use hand sanitizer when hand washing is not available. May be assigned to areas other than the normally assigned area as needed (e.g., counting people, directing traffic flow, assisting with doors). Represent the YMCA in a professional manner and promote a positive and cheerful environment. Attend and participate in all required staff meetings and continuing job training. Complete payroll on time each week via the payroll mobile application on your personal phone. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Current nationally recognized personal training certification (SCA, ASCM, ACE, AFAA, NSCA, ASAA, NETA, NASM, AAAI/ISMA or WITS). Minimum 0-3 years experience as a personal trainer. First Aid, CPR/AED certification. Completed YMCA of The Jersey Shore New Team Member Orientation. Completed YMCA Child Abuse Prevention online training and other required online trainings.
