Step into a rewarding contract role providing Occupational Therapy services within two vibrant middle schools in the Evanston, IL area. This opportunity begins ASAP and offers the flexibility to work either as a full-time therapist (Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM) or split the role between two part-time professionals. With potential contract renewal and a competitive hourly rate of $43+ (based on experience), this position is perfect for those seeking a dynamic school-based environment.

You'll join a collaborative group of eight Occupational Therapists dedicated to supporting student growth and fostering independence. As a valued part of the building-level teams, you’ll deliver high-quality, onsite OT services that make a real difference.

Key Qualifications:

• Current OT licensure appropriate for Illinois schools
• Strong knowledge of school-based OT practices, special education eligibility, and IEP/MTSS systems
• Prior experience in middle school environments preferred
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage a full caseload, conduct evaluations, and consult effectively with educational teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct OT services to students, focusing on skill development and successful participation in the school setting
• Complete initial and re-evaluations to determine eligibility under special education guidelines
• Offer consultation and support to classroom teams, promoting the generalization of skills
• Contribute expertise to MTSS and IEP meetings to develop effective support plans
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, complying with district and legal requirements
