Take your occupational therapy expertise into the classroom, working with students from elementary through high school levels. This contract position, conveniently located in the greater Chicago area, offers a dynamic blend of educational environments where you’ll have the chance to make a positive impact in students’ lives. You’ll provide critical support during school hours, collaborating with educators and supporting IEP goals where needed.

Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience working in schools or similar settings
• Background in OT for home health or healthcare settings a plus
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for supporting students’ growth and independence

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver occupational therapy services across elementary, middle, and high school grades
• Use a push-in model to support entire classrooms during standard sessions
• Adapt therapy approaches for students with IEPs, creating individualized interventions
• Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to maximize student success
• Document therapy sessions and progress, supporting compliance with school standards
• Maintain a flexible, student-centered approach to therapy throughout the school day
• Work school hours: 8 AM to 3 PM, totaling 32.5 hours per week
