Procurement Specialist

Position SummaryThe Purchasing Specialist plays a critical role in supporting Titan Circuits’ PCB assembly manufacturing operations by ensuring material flow to the production floor in an AS9100-driven environment. This role is highly integrated with daily operations and is responsible for executing procurement activities that directly impact production schedules, throughput, and on-time delivery to customers.This position requires a hands-on, operations-driven mindset with a strong sense of urgency, the ability to solve real-time supply issues, and close collaboration with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Warehouse teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Support & Material ExecutionExecute day-to-day purchasing activities to support production schedules and prevent SMT/assembly line downtimeMonitor ERP / CETEC outputs, released BOM demand, inventory, open purchase orders, and production schedules to proactively manage material availabilityExpedite critical materials and resolve shortages in real timeMaintain visibility of high-risk or constrained electronic components, PCB fabrication, outside services, and supplier promise datesFloor Partnership & Cross-Functional AlignmentPartner with Production, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Warehouse teamsParticipate in production meetings to review shortages, schedule risk, and material prioritiesServe as primary procurement contact for Operations on assigned material issues and shortagesSupport Engineering with urgent builds, ECO-driven changes, and documentation updatesSupplier Performance & AccountabilityPlace purchase orders, obtain supplier acknowledgments, and hold suppliers accountable to delivery, quality, documentation, and certification requirementsDrive escalations and corrective actions if requiredDevelop contingency sourcing plans and support alternate-source qualification with Engineering and Quality as neededInventory & Cost ControlBalance inventory levels to support production while limiting excess and obsolete materialSupport cycle counts and inventory accuracyIdentify cost-saving opportunities without creating material risk to production or customer requirementsProblem Solving & Continuous ImprovementIdentify recurring supply chain issues and implement solutionsImprove material flow, supplier reliability, shortage visibility, and buying disciplineSupport process improvements that strengthen on-time delivery and execution disciplineSystems & ComplianceMaintain accurate ERP / CETEC data, open PO status, and supplier promise datesEnsure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, supplier documentation expectations, and applicable quality-system requirementsEducation & Experience:Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred2+ years of manufacturing purchasing or procurement experienceStrong experience supporting production operations in electronics, PCB assembly, or other high-mix manufacturing environmentsSkills & Competencies:Strong sense of urgency in fast-paced environmentsAbility to manage shortages, lead-time changes, and supply disruptionsERP experience; CETEC preferredStrong communication, supplier-management, and problem-solving skills; collaborative and proactive problem-solving skills required.Preferred QualificationsExperience in electronics, PCB assembly, or AS9100 manufacturing environmentsWorking knowledge of electronic components, PCB fabrication, and supplier documentation requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr Titan Circuits
