Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of New York
• Previous pediatric or school-based occupational therapy experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and adherence to educational best practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and flexibly within a school environment
• Compassion, patience, and a passion for facilitating student growth and participation

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy to students, addressing fine motor, sensory, and self-care goals
• Assess student needs and document results to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of effective, personalized learning strategies
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to optimize student support
• Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state regulations for therapy services
• Adapt sessions and therapeutic approaches to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
