Qualifications: Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license (Required). Work experience as an LVN (Pediatric experience is a plus). Experience in telephone triage preferred. Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful, fast-paced, high-volume situations. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team. Glendale Pediatrics (physician-owned private practice pediatrics office) is looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join the team as a full-time Pediatric Triage Phone & Administrative Nurse. In this role, the LVN will be the first point of contact for parents and guardians seeking guidance and support for their children's health concerns. Responsibilities: Assess patient needs and symptoms via telephone using established triage protocols and guidelines. Provide appropriate medical advice and guidance to parents/guardians, including home care instructions, and encourage them to seek medical care. Schedule appointments or direct patients to emergency or urgent care as warranted. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients/families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Follow standing order procedures as indicated by the practice. Support patient and doctor needs for prior authorizations. Referral coordination and scheduling. Follow up on lab results, telemedicine, and/or in-office appointment scheduling. Check and transcribe voicemails into phone note messages for callbacks. *This is an in-office position located in Glendale, CA. Schedule and hours may vary depending on patient care needs and demand. Must be willing and able to commute to Glendale, CA. Part-Time Position. Paid benefits include paid sick leave and paid parking on site.
