About the Role
The Company is in search of a Head of Finance to lead its finance and accounting function. This hands-on role is pivotal in taking ownership of the firm's financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and cash management. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing fund financials, coordinating audits, tax filings, and compliance, and overseeing the work of third-party fund administrators and property managers. A key aspect of the role is to strengthen internal controls, reporting workflows, and accounting processes, as well as to partner with the CEO, CIO, and investment/development teams on deal activity, portfolio reporting, and business planning. The ideal candidate for the Head of Finance position at the company will have a strong background in real estate accounting, fund accounting, private equity, investment management, or development accounting. A CPA is strongly preferred, and experience with fund structures, deal-level entities, audits, tax coordination, waterfalls, and investor reporting is essential. The role requires a professional with a strong technical accounting foundation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to operate as both a strategic finance partner and a hands-on accounting leader. Experience with QuickBooks, Yardi, and advanced Excel skills is also preferred. The candidate should demonstrate job stability, an ownership mentality, and the ability to build scalable processes.
