What You’ll Do:

• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
• Support resident billing, collections, and Medicare/Medicaid coordination (as applicable)
• Review invoices for proper approvals and coding
• Assist with monthly close, accruals, and journal entries
• Reconcile resident deposits, petty cash, and bank accounts
• Maintain resident financial files in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Support balance sheet reconciliations and monthly P&L accuracy
• Help monitor key internal controls and census reporting

What We’re Looking For:

• Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience (senior living or healthcare a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and accounting systems
• Clear communication and sound problem-solving abilities

Accounting Assistant – Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Support | Finance Operations

Pay Range: 21.60 - 27.05

In addition to base compensation, Sunrise may offer discretionary and/or non-discretionary bonuses. The eligibility to receive such a bonus will depend on the employee’s position, plan/program offered by Sunrise at the time, and required performance pursuant to the plan/program.
