Job Description The Head of US Middle Office Oversight is responsible for leading and governing critical post-trade operational functions supporting L&G Asset Management America’s investment business. This role oversees Trade Services, Derivatives Operations, Collateral Management, Reconciliations, Corporate Actions, Asset Servicing, and third-party service provider performance across global markets and investment products. The position serves as the senior operational leader responsible for ensuring a controlled, scalable, and resilient operating model supporting the full investment lifecycle. Responsibilities include oversight of trade processing, settlement, derivative lifecycle management, collateral administration, cash and position reconciliations, asset servicing activities, operational risk management, and outsourced service provider governance. The role partners closely with Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Compliance, Fund Administration, Technology, Custody, Brokers and external service providers to deliver operational excellence, risk management while driving automation, control enhancement, and strategic transformation initiatives. Responsibilities The Head of US Middle Office Oversight is accountable for oversight of: Trade Services Trade lifecycle management Settlement Funding and fail management Market claims Trade control framework Derivatives & Collateral OTC and ETD lifecycle events Margin and collateral management UMR compliance OTC pricing Clearing operations oversight Reconciliations Cash reconciliations Position reconciliations Transaction reconciliations Derivative reconciliations Collateral reconciliations Exception governance and resolution Asset Servicing & Corporate Actions Mandatory and voluntary events Income processing Election management Complex event oversight Market deadline governance Vendor/Broker Oversight State Street Alpha oversight Broker relationships and escalation handling SLA/KPI management Service reviews Issue escalation Operating model governance Risk & Controls Audit support SOC1 oversight Regulatory preparedness Operational risk management Control attestations Transformation & Automation Operational monitoring Workflow automation Dashboard MI development Process optimization Data quality initiatives Qualifications Experience 12-15+ years of investment operations, middle office, or post-trade operational experience Deep expertise across trade services, settlements, derivatives, collateral management, reconciliations, corporate actions, and outsourced operating models. Demonstrated experience leading multiple operational disciplines through managers and senior team leads. Proven track record managing operational risk, controls, regulatory audits, and strategic transformation initiatives.
