About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Director, Assistant General Counsel to join their team. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted legal advisor and strategic business partner, with a primary focus on clinical operations, medical affairs, research, and commercial activities. This role requires the ability to translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical, business-oriented advice, and to proactively support a broad range of functions within the organization. Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements, providing legal support for commercial activities, advising on privacy issues, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the business. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree, with at least 8 years' of general corporate legal experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries, and a strong background in life sciences or biotechnology. Applicants for the Senior Director, Assistant General Counsel position at the company should possess a Juris Doctor degree and have a minimum of 8 years' of general corporate legal experience, with a preference for those who have 3 years' of practice with an established law firm. The role demands a strategic thinker with the ability to provide pragmatic, risk-based legal guidance, and a strong team orientation with a passion for continuous self-development. The candidate must have a solid understanding of legal issues affecting the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the areas of clinical development, medical affairs, research collaborations, and regulatory processes. Experience in a startup or growth-stage company setting, as well as with promotional review committees and employment-related matters, is also preferred.
