About the Position

Job Title: RN MedSurg/Oncology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: Must-Have: BLS Post-Surgical care Description: This travel assignment is for a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Oncology. The position requires working night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. The unit has a total of 31 beds and operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6 during night shifts. Candidates must have BLS certification and experience in post-surgical care. Preferred qualifications include ACLS, chemotherapy administration experience, Meditech familiarity, and certifications in oncology or med surg. Basic medical-surgical procedures will be performed on the unit, including chemotherapy administration, neutropenia precautions, post-operative care, and hospice care. Candidates should possess a neat and professional appearance, adhering to established dress code policies. This role does not require weekend or on-call shifts. Compliance with attendance policies and floating guidelines within the med surg unit is expected.
