Registered Nurse (RN) - Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

This position offers a travel contract for registered nurses with experience in high acuity postpartum care. Candidates with a permanent residency in a non-Swedish facility are eligible if they have been separated from their previous position for at least three months. All active compact licenses are accepted.

Assignment Length

• Contract duration: 13 or 26 weeks (traveler's choice)
• Schedule options: 3x12-hour shifts or 4x12-hour shifts (traveler's choice)

Eligibility Requirements

• First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 2 years of experience in high acuity postpartum care.
• Must be capable of managing a census surge, including the potential to handle a fourth couplet.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required; candidates with less than 2 years will be screened out.
• Floating required between various locations within the region.

Certifications Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Work Schedule

Requirement to work six weekend days per contract term.

Unit Description

We are a high-volume facility specializing in high-risk obstetric patients. The unit focuses on postpartum care following delivery, catering to a diverse patient population.

Special Procedures & Unit Details

• Experience in high-risk obstetric care is required.
• Familiarity with magnesium administration and EPIC electronic health records is mandatory.
• Knowledge in the management of Pitocin, Foley catheters, and postpartum hemorrhage is essential.
• Standard patient load includes managing four couplets.
• Experience in substance withdrawal cases is preferred.
• JADA experience is preferred.

Technology Requirements

EPIC experience is required for all candidates.
