Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 or 26 weeks (traveler choice) Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in high acuity postpartum care License: Active compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - High Risk Obstetric care experience - Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy - Experience with Pitocin - Experience managing Foley catheters - Experience with postpartum hemorrhage - Ability to manage four couplets - Substance withdrawal experience preferred - Epic experience required Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in postpartum care. The nurse will work in a high volume facility with diverse and high-risk obstetric patients. Responsibilities include treatment and support of postpartum patients following delivery. Candidates must have experience in high-risk obstetric care and be able to handle high census surges. The ability to float to different units may be required. Candidates will be expected to manage a maximum of four couplets. Experience with specific procedures, such as magnesium sulfate therapy and Pitocin administration, is necessary. This role is critical in ensuring patient safety and effective postpartum recovery. Nurses will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support teams.
