Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, flexible Employment Type: Travel Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care . The unit is Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) compliant, with babies rooming in with their mothers. Average 40 deliveries/month Average 6 C-sections/month May occasionally serve as Charge Nurse after completing charge nurse training Travelers may occasionally float to other departments where they are qualified and competent Requirements Minimum 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care in a healthcare setting Additional experience may be required depending on the facility Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed Must be willing to float when clinically qualified Required Certifications ACLS – American Heart Association BLS NRP AWHONN Advanced FHM RNC-EFM may substitute for AWHONN FHM About Genie Healthcare Genie Healthcare is one of the fastest growing Nurse Travel Agencies in the USA.
