Job Description
Registered Nurse - Diabetes Care

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch. No weekends or holidays.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse License
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification obtained within the last 3 years
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience in diabetes care
• Strong critical thinking and triage skills, knowledge of ESI - Emergency Severity Index
• Clinic experience is mandatory

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation, assessment, and evaluation of diabetes-related services to individuals, families, and communities.
• Collaboration with healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Educate patients on diabetes management and self-care strategies.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient progress and interventions.
• Participate in patient care planning and follow-up.

Compliance / Notes

Orientation occurs every other Monday. Missed compliance deadlines may result in rescheduling to the next orientation.
