The Position The Interim Housing Manager is responsible for management and supervision of interim housing staff, sites and program outcomes. This position will manage the delivery of interim housing services, case management, and programs using trauma informed care, harm reduction and housing first principles. The Manager will supervise staff who work shifts 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and will provide advanced crisis interventions when needed. The manager will oversee HMIS data entry, clinical documentation, and Quality Assurance responsibilities. This position requires extensive coordination with multiple components with internal and external partners (e.g. liaison with Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations teams to ensure a safe, productive environment is maintained and efforts to ensure care coordination and reduced lengths of homelessness). What You'll Do Manage interim housing direct service staff. This includes, but is not limited to: completing 90-day and annual evaluations, hiring, training, discipline, and termination Supervise, provide training and support to staff, including crisis intervention strategies, trauma-informed care, housing focused case management, mandated reporting, etc. to ensure program staff are using best practices in their daily work. Review and respond to complaints, Daily Activity Reports, and incident reports and develop Choice Agreements and resolve crisis in an effort to support participants to be successful in meeting IH standards and to ensure the safety of the IH community. Oversee bed/room change requests, provide daily interim housing occupancy reports to funders, and manage site roster/motel logs and ensure accurate program occupancy daily. Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, safety planning, and clinical support to participants (this may take place at a sites-based program, motel site, and at subcontracted agency as needed 24 hours per day). Coordinate with the FMO Department to ensure site needs are being addressed (i.e. site habitability, room readiness, safety measures, operational supply orders, kitchen, and food services, etc.) Coordinate with other interim housing managers to collaborate on participant care and staff expectations to reduce crisis on site and improve positive outcomes from Interim Housing Programs Coordinate with interim housing partners including, but not limited to: Department of Mental Health, Department of Health Services, Department of Public Health, Department of Homeless Services and Housing, LAHSA, and area motels as needed to ensure contract outcomes are met and standards of care is met. Collaboration with external/internal partners to ensure care coordination for program participants. Monitor staff completion of HMIS clarity/CHAMP case notes, services entries, program intakes and exits, document upload is completed as prescribed in program contract. Complete/review and submit billing across interim housing programs and budgeting for program/site. Participate in Interim Housing on-call rotation. Respond to after-hour crisis calls (i.e. 6pm-8am and weekends, flex days, and holidays) and coordinate/communicate response with the Assistant Director/Director of Interim Housing and/or program managers as required. If staffing shortages exist, act as back up to fill open shifts. Lead supervision and team meetings, lead monthly site program meetings, and attend agency and community meetings as directed by supervisor. Additional tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. SPECIFIC DUTIES THAT MAY APPLY BASED ON PROGRAM NEEDS AND AS ASSIGEND BY SUPERVISOR Supervise MSW interns and utilize the interns in providing support to participants/program if eligible. Supervise IH coordinators in providing support to participants/program if eligible.
