Temporary Dental Assistant – Join Our Santa Fe Dental Team!
At Matthew J Alm DDS LLC in Santa Fe, NM, we are dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered dental care in a warm and professional environment. Our private practice values teamwork, continuous learning, and high-quality service. We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Temporary Dental Assistant to join our team for a 2-month assignment starting in mid-to-late August.
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Dental Assistant to support our practice on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for entry-level assistants or experienced professionals looking for short-term work in a supportive, well-equipped practice. You’ll assist with chairside procedures, sterilization, patient care, and more—while gaining valuable experience in a private practice setting.
Pay
$21~$27 per hour

Requirements
Dental Assistant certification (or graduation from an accredited program)
X-ray certification (New Mexico)
Current CPR certification
Knowledge of infection control & sterilization protocols
Strong organizational & communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Job Description
✔ Assist the dentist during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort
✔ Prepare & sterilize instruments, maintaining strict infection control
✔ Take and process dental X-rays (digital imaging experience a plus)
✔ Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
✔ Manage inventory and ensure the clinic is well-stocked
✔ Communicate with dental labs for case coordination
✔ Maintain a clean, organized workspace
