Distinguished Scientist, Clinical Research, Thoracic Malignancies

Distinguished Scientist role leading clinical development strategy and execution for thoracic malignancies at an oncology-focused pharmaceutical company. Manages the full cycle of clinical research from early development through regulatory approval, providing scientific leadership across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop clinical development strategies incorporating scientific advances, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape
- Design, plan, and execute clinical trials from initiation through analysis and regulatory reporting
- Evaluate pre-clinical and translational data to inform Investigational New Drug applications and early development plans
- Manage Directors and senior leadership overseeing oncology clinical development projects and study execution
- Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and clinical investigators in thoracic oncology
Requirements
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree
- Industry experience in thoracic oncology
- Minimum 3 years clinical medicine experience
- Minimum 5 years industry drug development experience
- Demonstrated scientific scholarship and publication record
- Board certification or eligibility in oncology and/or hematology (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional teamwork capabilities
