HR Generalist I

OESC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist I to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This person will be based out of the Milwaukee, WI office on a Hybrid Schedule (Three Days in Office, Two Days WFH). The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR best practices and a passion for supporting employees throughout their lifecycle in the organization. This role will involve a mix of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance to foster a positive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Support the onboarding process from the offer letter creation through their first day. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Conduct investigations and assist in resolving employee conflicts and grievances. Support performance appraisal processes and assist managers in setting performance goals. Provide guidance on performance improvement plans and development opportunities. Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs. Facilitate onboarding and training sessions for new hires. Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases. Assist in preparing HR reports and metrics for management review. Contribute to initiatives that enhance employee engagement and workplace culture. Support organizational events and activities that promote team building. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with 6+ years of experience in HR or a related role OR Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in HR or a related role. Strong knowledge of HR laws and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
