Assignment Duration: This project can last from 3 to 5 months. No possibility to convert to full-time. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; some overtime may be required during the week and on the weekends

Job Summary: A mechanical assembler's job is to assemble parts and subassemblies into finished products using tools and equipment. Mechanical assemblers will be working in a warehouse/shop floor and will be assembling complete products. They will also be using automated equipment, forklift, or small cranes to move parts. Complete assigned assembly tasks quickly to meet daily shift and team goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
• Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
• Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
• Conducts quality control checks.
• Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring complete components.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, placing and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical.
• Must be able to read assembly blueprints in English format.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime and occasional weekends as required.
• Ability to solve practical problems and work with limited standardization.
• Working knowledge of shop safety practices.
• Understanding of quality assurance concepts, typically acquired through in-house training.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Adaptability and willingness to be cross-trained.
