TITLE: Store Leader (High-Volume Specialty Retail)

SUMMARY:

Store Leaders are key operational leaders within a high-volume, customer-focused specialty retail environment. Reporting to the Regional Leader, this role oversees daily store operations, team performance, facility maintenance, and the overall customer experience.

This is not a traditional retail management position. The Store Leader creates an engaging and energetic environment where gaming, physical activity, and social interaction come together. The role requires a hands-on leader who can energize customers, develop employees, troubleshoot operational and technical challenges, and maintain exceptional brand standards.

The environment is fast-paced, high-traffic, and highly interactive, requiring an adaptable leader who is comfortable managing competing priorities and leading through ambiguity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee daily store operations and deliver an exceptional customer experience
• Recruit, schedule, train, coach, and develop team members
• Monitor performance, staffing levels, and key operational metrics
• Maintain brand, cleanliness, safety, and security standards
• Oversee inventory, facility maintenance, and operational issues
• Communicate store performance and improvement opportunities to regional leadership
• Support company initiatives and local customer-engagement events

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently working as a Store Leader or General Manager in high-volume specialty retail
• 2+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in a customer-facing environment
• Experience managing approximately $3M–$6M in annual sales
• Ability to foster strong relationships with customers and employees
• Excellent communication skills, including listening, and oral
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software
• Multitasking in both leading teams and operational performance
• Highly organized in managing competing priorities

Working Environment:

• Capacity to lift and carry merchandise, supplies and equipment weighing up to a certain limit, as required for stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and completing store tasks
• Capability to bend, stoop, and reach to access merchandise, perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, and ensure the overall presentation and organization of the store
• While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to sit, stand, walk, reach with your hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate with others for long periods of time
• Must be capable of lifting weight up to 50 lbs. consistently and standing for extended periods, typically 8 hours
• Regular use of maintenance equipment such as hand and power tools, with occasional use of ladder
• Must be comfortable working in an environment with bright flashing lights, loud music, and fog
• Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), properly handling and storing cleaning chemicals, and following established safety protocols
• Flexibility to work various shifts starting as early as 8 am and ending as late as 1 am
