Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse

divh2Emerus Nursing Position/h2pThe purpose of this position is to perform the primary functions of a nurse in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care./ph3Essential Job Functions/h3ulliPlan, prioritize, and provide proficient, age-specific and developmentally/specialty appropriate nursing care by applying advanced specialty clinical nursing knowledge and skills and for ensuring the comfort and safety of patients/families/liliFollow physicians orders in the delivery of nursing care/liliMaintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times/liliAdhere to required infection control, isolation procedures and aseptic techniques in the delivery of patient care/liliCollect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulations/liliPerform admission, discharge and transfer procedures/liliAssemble equipment and supplies for various diagnostic or treatment procedures in the specialty service area; perform or assist others with procedures or treatments/liliHandle care in accordance with legal, hospital/facility, departmental policies and procedures, and established standards of nursing care and practice, as defined by the Board of Nursing for that State./li/ulh3Other Job Functions/h3ulliPerform all Quality Assessment activities assigned and document/liliAttend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required/liliPerform additional duties as assigned/li/ulh3Basic Qualifications/h3ulliAssociates Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN, preferred/liliCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions, required/lili2+ years full-time RN experience in Telemetry/ICU, or 2+ years combination experience in related healthcare positions, required/liliCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required; PALS strongly preferred (ENPC certification from ENA may be substituted for PALS certification)/liliPosition requires fluency in English; written and oral communication/liliPennsylvania RNs: Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance), Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date./li/ul/div
