Position Summary Centre Technologies islooking for an Infrastructure Engineer ready to make the next move into a Solutions Architect position. Our project delivery team develops andimplementIT infrastructure solutions that will meet the business needs of our customers. The Solutions Architect’s responsibilities include gathering requirements and solution specifications, assessing the current systems in place toidentifyareas in need of improvement, and overseeingimplementationteams. Working as a Solutions Architect includesworking with the sales team to understand the customers' needs, creating designs to solve those needs, supporting implementation teams for new and existingclientsprojects, migration and configuration of new hardware and software. An architect should be able to incorporate any updated requirements and needs into the design.Have the ability toexplain complex problems to management inlayman’s termswith a consultative approach. The successful architect will have experience in roles such as Tier 2/3 support with a passion for working with customers directly, pre-sales engineer, Sr. System Administrator or IT manager supporting250-300 users, ora consultant in delivery at a company where they did both delivery and pre-sales. Centre will need someonewith a consultative, and outgoing personality. Who wants to help customers' businesses runbetter.Who can leanonprior experience and provide recommendations to clients, with the personality to gain the customer'strust. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Being an integral part of a team toidentifyand qualify business opportunities and developthestrategy to resolve technical matters. (Immediate team will consist of a partnership with Sales and IT Consulting) Build deep, consultative technical relationships with your customers, effectively becominga trusted adviser. Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it. Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have. Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets. Recommending integration strategies, enterprisearchitectures,platformsand application infrastructurerequiredto successfully implement a complete solution using best practices. Articulating the Enterprise vision on technologies and solutions towards theClient;positions Enterprise as thought leader on key technological developments. Leading prioritization of Customer solution / technical requirements and champions resolution of solution / product gaps internally (also towards Product Groups). Developing individual skillsetandexpandproduct knowledge to maximize value and to deliver quality services to our clients. Traveling to Client sites, conferences, and other related events asrequired. Other duties as assigned are as follows but not limited to guiding and assisting the Project Services teams onmaintenance and upgrade of infrastructure including servers, storage, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems in accordance with Centre Technologies methodologies as determined by infrastructure architects, support or other dependencies. Education/Experience/Certifications 4+ years in a technical role (Sr. System Administration, Infrastructure, Cloud, etc.) Experience with the Microsoft Stack Office 365 - MCSA Office 365 Microsoft Intune Microsoft Windows Administration tools (AD Users and Computers, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Sites and Services, etc.) Microsoft Active Directory Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013/2016/Office 365 Experience with Meraki & CISCO Virtualization Experience - VMware Technologies & CITRIX Experience managing on-premises and hosted data center environments Experience in Infrastructure andOperations services Experience inEnterprise Cloud Migration and Transformation Intermediate knowledge of Cloud Economics and Optimization Experience with a Managed Cloud service supporting AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Previousexperience with managed service providers, operational management, and ongoing continuous improvementpreferred Experience with public and private cloud solutions CertificationsTypes Microsoft Expert level in server, cloud, M365,etc Cisco networking, or similar VMware Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Work Environment and Physical Demands Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. This position requires occasional after-hourswork for overnight patches, upgrades, implementations, etc. Occasional lifting (liftand/ormoveup to 50 pounds) may berequired.
