We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our esteemed institution as a Hospital Lab Director. As the Hospital Lab Director, you will oversee and manage all aspects of our hospital laboratory operations, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely diagnostic services. Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the hospital laboratory, setting goals, objectives, and performance metrics in alignment with the organization's overall mission and vision.
• Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
• Manage and optimize laboratory resources, including personnel, equipment, supplies, and budgets, to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting innovation and implementing best practices to enhance laboratory services and maximize patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other departments, to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services into patient care pathways.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in laboratory medicine, and actively participate in professional development activities to maintain expertise and drive innovation.
• Oversee the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of laboratory staff, providing mentorship and guidance to foster professional growth and ensure a high-performing team.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in laboratory management, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) is required.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, including testing methodologies, quality control, and proficiency testing.
• Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) and proficiency in utilizing technology to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Extensive knowledge of regulatory standards and accreditation requirements, such as CLIA, CAP, and Joint Commission.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• A commitment to patient safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Must be ASCP or AMT certified.
