Key ResponsibilitiesManage FIB engineers and technicians in utilizing FIB techniques for semiconductor characterization, create new FIB methods on advanced semiconductor applications from logic devices, memory technologies to power semiconductors, front end to back endManage, lead, and execute metrology engineering initiatives by applying advanced characterization expertise, ensuring all project outcomes are delivered in alignment with Applied Problem Solving methodology.Lead lab operations management including tracking and analyzing key operational metrics, identifying and implementing new metrics to drive lab performance, strategizing and executing workflow improvements, providing solutions to enhance lab efficiency and effectivenessDevelop and implement new technology and analytical instrumentation to enhance lab capabilities and performance, while maintaining hands-on engagement on tools to create and validate new methods for complex sample types, support team training, and establish structured training programs to continuously develop technical skills across the teamInteract with key customers and BU partners to resolve significantly complex metrology issues across all product linesManage escalations by proactively addressing urgent issues, being flexible to business demands, and supporting cross functional teams across different shifts outside regular business hoursCommunicate effectively across teams and stakeholders by creating and delivering clear, impactful presentations, sharing technical review and project updates, lead discussions to align on goal and executionGenerate internal and external documentation for techniques, lab protocol and proceduresEnsure lab operations meet all safety and IP standards by conducting regular audit, risk assessments and maintaining compliance documentationsFunctional KnowledgeDemonstrates in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in own job family and basic knowledge of other related job familiesBusiness ExpertiseApplies understanding of the industry and how own area contributes to the achievement of objectivesLeadershipManages a generally homogeneous team; adapts plans and priorities to meet service and/or operational challengesProblem SolvingIdentifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems ImpactImpacts the level of service and the team’s ability to meet quality, volume, and timeliness objectivesGuided by policies and resource requirements within business unit, department or sub-functionInterpersonal SkillsGuides, influences and persuades others internally in related areas or externallyPosition requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times.
