Summary:

Seeking a Licensed Psychologist for Cook Children's Denton Clinic. Come join our collaborative team of professionals where you will administer psychological and neuropsychological testing to our pediatric clients ages 2 - 18 years of age. Will also have the option of providing some outpatient psychotherapy (family and individual therapy) . Will provide supervision to Practicum students to provide neuropsych training and testing. Must possess knowledge and understanding of normal pediatric/adolescent growth and brain development and have experience with pediatric/adolescent mental health diagnoses and a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests. Experience with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care is preferred. Understanding of the ecological, biological, genetic, and developmental factors that promote health across the lifespan is preferred.

Required Education & Experience:

• Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA accredited institution.

• Training in neuropsych in Pre/Post Doc or studies preferred.

• Experience using a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests.

• Experience providing therapy to children with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care (preferred).

• Understanding of the impact of trauma and ecological, biological, and developmental factors on children and adolescents.

• Prior experience working with children & families (preferred).

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop outstanding leadership skills.

• Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and maintain a positive experience for all children and families.

Required Licensure and Certification:

• Licensed Psychologist in the state of Texas, or the ability to obtain. (will consider Provisional License if close to licensure) .

• American Heart Association CPR must be obtained prior to start.
