Operating Room RN in Montgomery, AL

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in operating room environments to support surgical teams and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting
• Proficiency with perioperative nursing care, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op duties
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Outstanding organizational and communication skills
• Ability to anticipate surgeon and patient needs, demonstrating adaptability in dynamic situations
• Familiarity with sterile technique and surgical instrumentation

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating suite by ensuring all necessary supplies, equipment, and instruments are sterile and available
• Provide direct patient care throughout the perioperative phases, including patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary surgical teams, serving as a patient advocate
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
• Assist with anesthesia induction and patient positioning, ensuring comfort and safety standards are upheld
• Handle instrument counts, specimen collection, and accurate documentation
• Provide post-operative care instructions and communication to patients and families
